Celebrate Castleton Independence Day - 2025

Mark your calendars, Castleton! Get ready for a spectacular Independence Day celebration in 2025! Join us for a day of fun, community spirit, and dazzling fireworks.
Parade of Patriots!

Tentatively, on July 5th, 2025, the parade kicks off at 10:00 am sharp! The procession will begin on Main Street at the east end (near the "Rail Trail" entrance), wind its way west through the South and North Street intersection, and then turn south onto Glenbrook Road, culminating in the University parking lot. The parade is expected to last approximately 60 minutes and will feature around 45 participants, including vehicles, bands, horses, pedestrians, and creative floats.
Important Road Closure Information:
Please note that the roadway between Exit 5 and Glenbrook Road will be closed from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on July 5th to ensure the safety of parade participants and spectators. If you need to travel on Main Street during this time, please plan your trip before 9:30 am or after 11:00 am. Alternative routes include Route 30 north/south, Route 4, and Sand Hill Road. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to make this a safe and enjoyable event for everyone. Please coordinate your travel plans accordingly, especially if you are traveling to the Transfer Station or through the Castleton Village area.
Post-Parade Fun!
Immediately following the parade, at approximately 11:00 am, the party continues at the Castleton Library grounds! The Castleton Recreation Department will be hosting an after-party with an exciting obstacle course for kids, along with other fun activities. Enjoy face painting, live music, and delicious food!
Evening Festivities at Crystal Beach!
The celebration continues into the evening! Join us at the Crystal Beach complex at approximately 7:00 pm for more July 4th festivities. A DJ will be spinning tunes at the pavilion, creating a lively atmosphere. Staff at the front entrance will be gratefully accepting monetary donations to help offset the event costs.
Fireworks Extravaganza!
And, of course, no July 4th celebration is complete without fireworks! At approximately 9:00 pm, prepare to be amazed by a spectacular fireworks display, sponsored by the Town of Castleton.
Parking Information:
Parking will be available at Crystal Beach, but please be aware that parking on Route 30 will be limited.
