This policy applies universally, including to those born before 1973.

Boating License

If you don’t possess a boating license or safety certificate, rest assured, Woodard Marine has a solution in place for your convenience. Our policy mandates that all individuals above the age of 24, who intend to operate our boats, must complete an online safety boating course. Although the course guidelines may suggest that certain individuals are exempt due to age (often referred to as being “grandfathered in”), at Woodard Marine, we uphold a stringent standard for safety and proficiency. This means every prospective boat driver, regardless of age, is required to take this safety course.

To align with this policy, we kindly request you to select your state of residence and enroll in the online course. Successfully completing this course not only fulfills our company’s safety requirements but also ensures you are well-prepared and knowledgeable about boating safety protocols. For those who don’t have a boating license or safety certificate, we’ve got you covered. It is a requirement at Woodard Marine that anyone over the age of 24 wishing to operate one of our boats completes an online safety boating course. Even if the course indicates that you are exempted due to age or other factors (commonly referred to as being “grandfathered in”), our company policy overrides this exemption. We require all prospective drivers to undertake this safety course, emphasizing our dedication to upholding the highest standards of boating safety.

To comply with our policy, please select the state you reside in and enroll in the relevant online course. Completing this course is essential to meet our company’s policy requirements and ensures that you are well-prepared to navigate the waters safely and responsibly.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

1. Full Refund Option (Up to 7 Days Before Reservation): Customers are eligible for a 100% refund if the cancellation is made up to 7 days (168 hours) prior to the start of the contracted reservation date. Alternatively, customers may choose to rebook their reservation for the same season and year, subject to availability, at no additional rebooking charge.
2. Partial Refund Option (3 to 6 Days Before Reservation): For cancellations made between 3 to 6 days (72-144 hours) prior to the reservation date, customers will receive a refund minus a $100 cancellation fee. Customers also have the option to rebook for the same season and year, subject to availability, without incurring any rebooking fees.
3. Cancellation within 2 Days of Reservation: If a cancellation occurs within 2 days (48 hours) or less prior to the reservation date, customers will forfeit their reservation deposit/payment without a refund. However, they may opt to rebook for a $75 fee, applicable for the same year and season as the original booking.

Additional Notes on Cancellation:

• In the event of a no-show or failure to commence the reservation as scheduled, there will be a 100% forfeiture of any funds received. This scenario is not eligible for rebooking.

Communication Requirements for Cancellations and Rebooking:

• To initiate a cancellation or rebooking request, an email must be sent to [email protected]. The timestamp of the received email will be considered as the official time and date for the cancellation or rebooking request.
• We encourage a follow-up phone call or email to (802) 265-3690 ext 7 for further confirmation. However, please note that only the email request will be considered a valid form of communication for the purpose of cancellation or rebooking.

However, we have a policy in place where pets are not permitted on our boats. This decision is based on a couple of key considerations.

Firstly, the lack of suitable facilities on the boats for pets to relieve themselves presents a challenge.
