Here’s how it works:
We’re looking forward to hearing from you and possibly welcoming you aboard!
We’re gearing up for another exciting season on the water, and we’re looking for enthusiastic, hard-working individuals to join our team! Whether you’re a high school or college student looking for a summer job, or someone who simply loves the lake life and working outdoors, we’ve got great opportunities for you.
These roles are perfect for anyone who enjoys being active, working in a fast-paced environment, and being part of a team that helps people make lifelong memories on the water.
Yes, absolutely! While not all our positions require previous marina experience, we do appreciate candidates who have some familiarity with being out on the water.
For many of our roles, especially those involving our rental boats, it’s helpful (and sometimes required) to have boating experience, including driving a boat and holding a valid boating license. If you’re comfortable around boats and have spent time navigating the lake, you’re already ahead of the game—even if you’ve never worked at a marina before.
We’re happy to train the right people who bring a great attitude, strong work ethic, and a love for life on the water!
Fill Out the Application Form
Start by completing our job application form. You can either fill it out digitally and email it to us or drop it off at the marina 615 Creek Rd. Hydeville, VT 05750 and give it to the receptionist—whatever’s easiest for you!
Give Us a Little Time to Review
Once we receive your completed application, our team will take about two weeks to carefully review it. We want to make sure we give every application the attention it deserves.
Next Steps
If we think you could be a great fit for the team, we’ll reach out to you to schedule the next step in the process—usually an interview or a quick chat to get to know you better.
At Woodard Marine, we’re all about creating fun, memorable experiences for our guests—and that starts with having a great team. If you're thinking about joining us, here are a few key qualities we look for in a standout candidate.
Reliability
We count on each other to show up ready and on time. Being dependable keeps the whole team running smoothly and ensures our guests get the best service possible.
Outgoing Personality
If you enjoy meeting new people and can carry on a friendly conversation both in person and over the phone, you’ll fit right in. We love team members who are upbeat, approachable, and ready to make someone's day a little brighter.
Basic Computer Skills
You don’t need to be a tech expert, but being comfortable using a computer is important. You’ll be helping customers with things like making or modifying reservations and using our systems to check in boats.
Comfort Working Outdoors
Lake life means sunshine—and sometimes heat. You’ll be outside, so being able to handle hot weather with a positive attitude is a big plus!
Weekend Availability
We’re at our busiest when our guests are off from work and school—weekends are our peak days. We do ask that team members are available to work Saturdays and Sundays. Your days off will typically fall during the week, giving you a chance to enjoy a quieter day on the lake!
