Join us as we celebrate the grand opening of the Lake Bomoseen Little Free Library, a brand new community book-sharing space. Nestled right on the dock at the Woodard Marine showroom, this charming new book exchange is a place where stories can be shared, discovered, and passed along within our community.
Accessible by land or by water, the Lake Bomoseen Little Free Library invites visitors from near and far to stop by, grab their next great read, or leave behind a favorite book for someone else to enjoy. Whether you're cruising by boat or strolling down the dock, it’s the perfect spot to spark your next reading adventure.
A Little Free Library is a small, publicly accessible book-sharing box where people can take a book or leave a book for others to enjoy. These libraries are typically installed in front yards, parks, schools, or community spaces and are open to anyone, at any time, without the need for a library card or due dates.
The concept is built on a simple idea: “Take a book, share a book.” Someone might leave a novel they’ve finished, pick up a children’s book for their family, or discover something entirely new. The system runs on trust and community participation rather than formal rules or oversight.
We’re excited to open the Lake Bomoseen Little Free Library during National Library Week, making it an even more fitting time to celebrate the joy of books, literacy, and community connection.
