

Join the Town of Castleton for a special Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States. This community-wide celebration brings together residents and visitors for a day filled with patriotism, family fun, live entertainment, and one of the area's most anticipated fireworks displays.
From the annual parade and family activities to an evening concert and spectacular fireworks show, Castleton offers a full day of festivities to kick off the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
The celebration begins on Friday, July 3, 2026, with Castleton's annual Independence Day Parade.
Parade Start Time: 10:00 AM
The parade will travel along Main Street through the heart of Castleton and feature approximately 45 participants, including bands, floats, horses, vehicles, and community organizations. Residents and visitors are encouraged to line the parade route and celebrate the nation's 250th birthday with friends and neighbors.
Following the parade, the celebration continues with a community after-party on the grounds of the Castleton Free Library.

The celebration continues at the VTSU Castleton Pavilion Complex with a free concert by Satin and Steel.

Sponsored by the Town of Castleton, the fireworks will light up the night sky as the community comes together to celebrate Independence Day and America's 250th birthday year.

Parking for the evening concert and fireworks will be available at designated VTSU Castleton lots. Voluntary donations will be accepted to help support future Independence Day celebrations.
Visitors should note that VTSU Castleton prohibits alcohol, nicotine products, pets, glass containers, weapons, and lawn chairs on university grounds. Clear bags are recommended, and all bags may be subject to inspection.
